All these spoons are made by hand using axe and knives, and made from green unseasoned wood in the traditional way spoons have been made for centuries. The spoons are finished without the use of sandpaper and so have the most beautiful and tactile knife cut finish. Some spoons are supplied without an oil finish and some, especially the larger spoons have been oiled withvery hot raw, unprocessed linseed oil. Spoons soon pick up there own patina and oils from the food and we do not think it is necessary to oil them.
