Made from oak, these benches are upright but very comfortable to sit in. Six foot high when erected.
Sculptural seating is carved from a solid block of wood with a carved seat permanently attached. The inspiration for the designs shown here comes from unfurling fronds of fern and bracken, known locally as 'fiddle-heads', which can be seen in the spring and early summer. 'Duet' or 'Fern' come in a variety of sizes and woods depending upon your budget. Oak is the most durable and more expensive option; redwood or Western red cedar is the cheaper choice.
Price: £750 each or £1300 for the pair
Made from western red cedar £600 each
These may take up to six months before delivery depending on finding suitable wood to carve them from. These seats need to be dug into the ground. Just dig a hole and put the seat into it, then firmly compact the soil around the seat. There is no need to use concrete to set the seat in, unless erected in a public place where security is an issue.
